What should be the next lego castle line?
I just wanna see what you people think.
"looking for fantasy only people"
I for one think they should do a sea theme - large ships, catapults, rafts, landing craft, sea fortresses, maybe even a wooden submarine.
Then they could have like Sharkmen (like the one Krum minifig in the HP4 sets) vs. the knights of King leo or the vikings.
They could also have return of peasants, like a peasant uprising, or peasant merchant ships, not just wars.

I'd like to see a return to the Crusader style of theme. Two opposing factions, neither inherently good or evil, with grey castles and fortresses with lots of nice little detaily bits like carts, shops and wagons.
But that's me.

That's me too! They don't have to be crusaders, or black falcons, but simelar. It's nice to see that space will be returning form Star Wars, maybe we will see a decline in KII-ishness, and some more basic types of sets.SavaTheAggie wrote:I'd like to see a return to the Crusader style of theme. This is interesting idea... Mixing up Castle and Pirates. You'll have Fortress Islands and what not, and instead of those silly looking siege machines, you'll have warships.
But please... NO CANNONS!

For a whie I've been wanting a more fantasy line. Something like "The Kingdom vs the invading orcs". The good guys would consist mainly of Royal-ish knights and a king as well as knights of thier own factions. (Like Royal Knights for the kingdom and the knights would be somthing like a Crusader knight, a Black Falcon Knight, ect.) The badguys would be orcs, goblins, and trolls. For sets, the knights would get castles, wall segments, and shops (for the must have peasants), and the badguys would get caves abbandoned outposts in "The Forbidden Forest" or something plus siege engines.
Keep on Truckin'

This just happens to be almost exactly what I was thinking when I read this post. I can just sit and wait.
Thanks,

I want a crusader theme too, but with actual crusaders. Tan castles, more realistic and diverse heraldry, and arab/middle eastern warriors using turbans, ninja hoods and scimitars, along with arab-style tents and camels. The arab sets can be seperate from the knight sets like they did with cowboys and Indians.

What I'd really like is a medieval village theme. Some tudor houses, wagons, shops, normal peasants, maybe a market or something like that.
It's always about fighting, and I don't like the fighting scenes

If you're a Dutch legofan, visit Lowlug!
1, Vikings vs. another human faction. Viking hall, a village, expansion sets for the Fortress. Viking women.
2, Two opposing human factions, no goodies vs. baddies, just ordinary "nations". (already said)
3, Mediaeval civilians. (already said) Women, too!
4, Continuation of the Forestmen/Dark Forest theme. (already said)
5, Romans, Crusade-era Arab warriors (all mentioned already), African (e.g. Zulu) warriors.

I would love to see a Roman theme. They could have a large Colleseum set and maybe perhaps even a Hippodrome. (Hey, I can dream, can't I? )
Another thing would be a somewhat simple line, not just based on castles and things like in the newer lines, (Vikings and KK) but also things like houses, shops, and maybe a Tavern, something like that would be great in my opinion.
But hey, any castle line without baby blue and rainbow colors will be a good step.

Honestly, I don't care what theme lego chooses for its next castle line.
I just want it to be GOOD.
Plenty of bricks, plates, arches, lattice windows, castle figs, etc.

Although many people are against movie/book based themes, I think that it would be great if LEGO introduced their very own Lord of the Rings/Hobbit theme. Sets could include Isengard, Tom Bombadil's house(which apparently wasn't even in the movie( , etc. Just a thought.
Also, it would be cool if they had different themes in different countries depicting buildings and historical events. An example would be the Parliament buildings in Canada, the White House in the United States, and Ayers Rock in Australia.
