I would love to see a new kind of spear, maybe a new kind of catapult. I think the new swords are good but there too flimsy. What there really need is a medieval flail.

You mean because they will probably never produce anything that measures up to mine? Sure...that's special. There's just something special about official LEGO pieces, though.
Seriously - look at what people are listing in this thread. Sharper looking blades/swords, a better long sword, a mace, and a flail. These are all things that Lego continues to pass the buck on, in molded form. Ain't gonna happen, unless they decide to *borrow ideas/product again. If they do, it won't surprise me in the slightest. I do happen to know for a fact, that one German Lego rep actually made the comment of "why can't we make stuff like this?", while drooling over my 2nd castle weapons set. And that was 2 years ago. Who knows...you guys might just get lucky with a few pieces within the next year+.
* Now where did Lego get the idea for those new SW blasters?
One can only wonder...

I'm curious, you don't have any agreement with TLC about these new SW weapons?Blasterman wrote:if the SW blasters are any hint to how long it takes them to borrow ideas.
I thought you would... (I thought you sold you're ideas to TLC, which would be ok with me).

By "borrow", I mean steal. Lego has watched this blaster concept (introduced by me), and how it's effected the community for the past 3 years. When more and more people used them, especially at major Lego shows(even LegoWorld), they took notice. My product has been sold all over the world, and Lego sees this as not only a part/product that people obviously want, but also as money to be made.
Similar circumstances surround the short lived "light up sabers", which were introduced by someone else a few years ago.
Lego is a money making business, so don't think they're not capable of anything "bad" to promote their product and make more money. If there's something out there for them to capitalize on, chances are they will look into it. It just sucks that it took someone else (me) to force their hand, in a manner of speaking, to do something that people want - and even start going against their own policies to do it. Crazy, huh?

For some fans, custom parts are simply taboo. Personally, as a LEGO purist, I will not use any non-LEGO components in my MOCing, no matter how cool they may be. Then again, I don't really care if LEGO up and decides to make better weapons and armour. Of course, if they did produce such pieces, I would be more than willing to add them to my collection. I mean, I would love an official bassinet, sallet or great helm, but I'm not going to lose sleep if it never happens.Blasterman wrote:With questions like this, I'm feelin' like chopped liver. What would you like?
So basically, Lego needs to make versions of just about everything I've done.
Yeah...that would cover 99% of your Lego wants. Well, good luck with that! You'll probably get 1-2 new weapons in the next 2-3 years, if the SW blasters are any hint to how long it takes them to borrow ideas.
Also, I must say that I am sorry about how things have gone with the LEGO blasters.

I was about to write that I wanted a scimitar more of the size of the Pirate cutlasses but now that I have seen the 2007 Castle line pic I hope there is no need of wishing that

Blasterman, I absolutely *love* your work, and I very happy you are *still in the game,* Regardless of what lego does or plans to do. Your new helm is superb. As good as I could imagine it. I wish for the following:
1. An accurate WWII german helmet. While Armothe has some great stuff, his helmet and HUGE MP-44 just don't cut it.
2. One of those pointy-topped muslim warrior helmets from the crusades.

I'd like to see a flail, but have no idea how to make an effective one in Lego scale.
A good flail would be very cool.
The flail is the one playmobile piece I envy...
For all those who wished for a flail; your wish has been granted! Check it out here!I always wanted a flail/mace...
Look in the lower right hand corner in the brown/black/grey field...
My only complaint is that it also would be cool if they used chain links to make them actually swingable...
As to the topic, I would really like to see the old Renaissance guns and cannons, as seen in the late Middle Ages- Early Renaissance.
Thanks,

More swords, daggers, rapiers, etc. In my opinion, the traditional way is the best way.

From one side of the view, (not the Tv show, god forbid.) I think that we would need to cut down on the variety of all the weapons , such as the gray and brown crossbows, three types of swords, two different color battleaxes, the two halberds, blah blah blah.
So we could just decide on one type of each of those things.
My new weapon?
Something unorthodox,
probably a......
Shaolin monk spade!!!! Yay!!!
And by the way, if you look at the new 2007 KK4 or whatever the heck they're going to call it, has decent zombie heads on the skeletons!!!

They need to make some Chinese style weapons...
It would be nice if there was like an "Dragon Empire" (Chinese) theme with horse-riding raiders (Mongols/Huns) as villains...

Now that Isee they're re-doing the old short sword, I think Lego should redo the good ol' knife, too. In other colours than chrome would be cool, too. Dark grey, black...

I love Jeff's work, and I think he's pretty much filled my weapon wants. But I'd really like more Helmets, and maybe some different armor.

I think Blasterman is right, he makes exactly what you all want. LEGO will not make any sharp anything (because) kids play with it. I want to buy his site but having stock and Money at the same time just has not happened yet. I have money now but he only has chrome blasters. As for "borrowing" ideas that sucks! Yours still look better, your flail is still better. You make things LEGO could not or would not. As for what i want to see I am content for next years new stuff.
