What are you reffering to. I have never heard of a 40 minifig set.

Kelderic
i think he's talking about:

http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.as ... =115&d=403
I don't think so, since that has 31 or 32, and is not Dacta. On the other hand, you could be right. I don't know.

There isn't a DACTA set so far that has 40 castle minifigs. However, the DACTA sets were/are (don't know if they still exist) known for having a lot of duplicate minifigs, as they were meant for schoolchildren to play with; and it's almost certain that several kids in the class would want the same figure to play with. Architect was just saying we can dream about such a set, which would be wonderful, but doesn't currently exist.

He's referring to sets like this:

There was also a set like a year or 2 back for I forget... 10.00? You get 5 skellies and 5 ghosts. Lots of people cashed in on that from dacta.

Personaly what I think would be golden would be:

machinery; one supply cart
Minifigs: Two siege workers, three archers, five foot soldiers, two seargents, one knight.

That makes a total of fourteen minifigures plus the supply cart would still sell for a reasonable price. Doing something like that for more than one faction would be bought up fast. This way you get your army, and a way all the accesories they would need to do battle.

God speed

It would be nice if TLC made some castle battle packs, it would be bad if they were 10$ U.S. like the SW packs. Too expensive.

Most people buy a lot of the SW battle packs and I hope more People likes Knights than SW here,so if they make tons of money from that Lego should see to make more battle packs for other sections. :?

I have purchased the SW battle packs and they rock! If LEGO started producing Castle Battle Packs I wouldn't be allowed in any store that sold LEGO within a 10 mile radius of my house  .

Yeah. That would be really neat. I hope TLC does this, but knowing them, they'll just disappoint us. :(

P.S. I guess I'm one of the younger users since I'm 13, but I still have a decent sized army, since I like to buy old sets on ebay

As long as we're dreaming, let me vote against the all-in-one massive battlepack. I want medium sized packs, for as many factions as possible.

Most of my human factions are probably fine for soldiers. Indeed, with my current building plans it's fortresses that will be in short supply. I want to pick and choose what I get.

I would definitely buy Skelly and Troll battlepacks.

I would also really love a Peasant 'battlepack.'

If the price was good enough I might reinforce my various human factions too.

am i the only one who has noticed that LEGO has given us army builders? most notably in the catapult sets 4 figs and a catapult or such same will be coming out for the orcs soon too.

I noticed that as well, so Knights Catapult Defense is the only set I've been buying(5 and counting  ). After looking at the picture of 7038 again, it seems to be next years equivalent.

I think the chess sets have been the closest to 'army builders' so far. Perhaps when the line gets a bit more solid then we'll see more fig sets (we've already got the impulse sets coming up).

Personally, I'd like to see a dwarf impulse set. It could have a single dwarf minifig but have three beards, two or three weapons, two different helmets, and a shield. I think that would be more than enough to get me motivated to get a job so as I could buy my own legos.

I can just see it, an army of dwarf warrior's with a bunch of catapults. I would cause so much damage in a brikwars battle with 30-40 dwarves. Of course, it would all come down to price and how full/empty my wallet is.

I think that a Dwarven Impulse set would be quite nice. However, the set will be a long time coming. The major selling factor of "Dwarf's Mine" are well the Dwarves. As long as that set sells well, Lego will not drive away consumers from it by offering other ways of getting Dwarves.

Pity...
