Harold, The Traveling Castle Fig
Hail to thee, Sir Harold!
Hey everyone, time for a Harold update! I was lucky enough to recieve our gallant champion a few weeks ago but wanted to create something special for the little guy. Unfortunetly I have been pressed for time as my working year winds down before my Summer holidays so I have been in care of Harold for longer than expected - sorry about that
Anyway, let me present to you, Harold's home away from home.
(Pic is BS link)
The Knight in white is my sigfig of course, & Lady Christine already has cake in the kitchen to celebrate the occasion. The MOC features interrior lighting, light up fireplace & the building is easily removed from the landscape & split in two to reveal the interior.
Harold is already packing his bags for his next adventure!

That's awesome, I love that house. And great to see Harold had a great reception in the land of Oz.
Between plotting to kill you all and chasing balls of yarn, I also build MOCs

How cool is that, haha. I really like the look of the house. Simple yet great looking. Also the light effects are very cool.
You want a piece of me?!?!

Got lost in the holiday mail?
I don't think the "one week" visits are working. Maybe if we say "two weeks" hosts might actually feel they have time for a good visit and we can get back on some sort of timetable?
Not that I'm complaining but according to the original schedule he should have finished his travels before Christmas and as best I can tell he is only about half-way down the list.

One week was way too short. I had him for at least 3 weeks, maybe 4. And I still felt rushed.Tedward wrote:I don't think the "one week" visits are working. Maybe if we say "two weeks" hosts might actually feel they have time for a good visit and we can get back on some sort of timetable?

I had him for one week (OK, 8 days, so shoot me ) and I found that to be perfectly fine - what would you do with him for four weeks anyhow?Athos wrote:One week was way too short. Seriously, a month? That's crazy.

Well it wasn't that I needed him for a month. I just had a lot of trouble getting a good time to take him out and about for pictures... If a couple of weekends get burned up with unexpected stuff, it can get difficult to get pictures taken. Especially, if your first set turns out very poorly...RebelRock wrote:Seriously, a month? I agree that a week is too short (well I would, wouldn't I, because I think I had him for almost . It can be hard to find the time to do something worthwhile with Harold in such a short period, especially if you are quite busy & have a lot on (as I did over Christmas).
But I guess it's important that we keep his momentum up within the community.

Ah well, as long as he's still on the move. Though I am anxious to receive him, I'm not in any kind of hurry.
Let people take their time, if that means that we'll have a worthwhile report of his visits.

Sorry for the delay. But Harold arrived with his epaulets needing repair. I spent a few weeks searching for just the right method to fixing them. This is Harold we are talking about, he must arrive looking simply dashing at his next stop which is why I gifted him with alternative clothing options as you will see.
Pictures have been taken. They and the story of his time in Ohio will be posted in a few days.
Meanwhile, Rogue27, he will on his way tomorrow and should arrive within a day or two.
