I've seen this disign used for a loooong time, so I doupt it was yours first. But, If it was, isn't brickshelf for people to share there work, and get ideas from other people's? You should be proud he used 'your' design, not disapointed.

You are angry just because somebody uses the same model of lance as you... :?
He can have imagined it without have visited your site : It isn't a very complex model of lance...
And even if he did it from your site, you should be happy that somebody finds that good...

He probably just thought up the same idea on his own. I thought up something very similar to serve as Mat Cauthon's spear for my Wheel of Time MOCs. I used a brown stick, a chrome light saber handle, and a chrome dagger to build it.

Anyway, whenever somebody builds a MOC, you can not expect them to scour the internet for all other MOCs that might use 3 pieces in the same combination so they can credit them. Lots of ideas are independently invented / discovered by many people all over the world.

I have to agree with the others: I highly doubt that you are the first person to build this, the same as this other guy.

In fact, its really freaky, but last night, my younger brother showed me a whole bunch of new figs he'd created, and lo and behold, there was one of those weapons (different colours, same shape) adorning the hands of one of his mercenaries.

I asked if he got it from here, knowing that Erikut had designed one, and thinking that he might have seen it. He said no.

Freaky.... :?

A few years ago, I had created a mass with a toothed wheel.
I thought of being the only one to have imagined it and I was very surprised to learn that everyone knew already...
:(
At least, I did not see yet here my model of crossbow... :D

Thats called a Naginata. Tons of people have had that type of design before. I use a similar design but I use a technic pin instead of a light sabre blade.

Its also one of the weapons used by the Atlantean faction in my Ancients Theme. Though that maybe subject to change....

If I spent my days crediting everyone I'd ever borrowed an idea from, I wouldn't have any time to build! But then again, if I don't have any time to build, then I won't have anything to credit any one for... It's a vicious cycle really.

Actually, I've borrowed quite a few ideas, mainly in the minifig department. Particularily from Anthony Sava. Prior to discovering this, Ikros was my favourite Lego website. (And, obviously, Ikros's links are what led me here.)

I've also stolen his sticker designs right and left. Those things are a godsend!!!

I know that I've taken some ideas from Bruce, and possibly Kevin Hall. I know that there are others, I just can't think of any names at the moment. :D
