BrickShelf is fine with me. I've made tons of uploads there. It can even handle pics of massive armies....

Speaking of having your own site and forum, Im still looking for a good webhost that can handle the large amounts pics, video and audio files that I would have to upload for my Near-Future Military MOCs. Not to mention a site dedicated for us Lego Militarists. As for the forums, I'll use the type that Classic-Castle.com, Yaomingmania.com, and FBTB.net uses.
