what type of program is required to print decals

I cannot open the decal files that I can download from this site what file type are they and what type of software is required to print them also is this software availble for free on the internet or would I have to buy it from somewhere.

I believe the .PSD files are Adobe Photoshop's format.

To open them, you would need Adobe Photoshop, or some other graphic editor that can open .PSD files.

You can use almost any program to print out the .JPG versions of the stickers, you just need to remember to tell the program to print the stickers out at the right size.

ACDSee has a free downloadable version, and I've used it before for sticker purposes.

I have both Adobe and ACDSee, and I use ACDSee for all my printing. Learned on it first, I guess. I don't know what the print sizes for in Metric are, being a mixed-up Canadian with Standard defaults, I use inches.

and ironically enough being a mixed up american i print in metric. 1.6 cm for triangle shields and torsos.

I use msword, bitmaps for the ones i make, since the colors come out weird if i save it as a jpg.

As another option, perhaps you aren't saving it right. I am nothing even close to a computer expert, but it could be possible that it has problems because you haven't saved it in the right kind of folder. Or maybe you use a macintosh computer, and most things are made for a microsoft. Just an idea.

That would be very unlikely when dealing with standardized file formats like .jpg.

.PSD, on the other hand, is a proprietary format owned by Adobe, but some other graphic editors have reverse engineered the format enough to open the files.

I just click on Sava's designs, copy, paste them to MS Word, right click, click format picture, check keep porportion, change width to 1.5 cm, click ok, print away!
