This is what we call "shameless self promotion"

but seriously, Justin, this tank is top notch. It definately stands up next to Dan's and Chris's.

It is a great looking tank Justin. Far superior to KKoledas. I think that if there was a BrikWar between the other realistic tank builders -vs- KKoleda's Town scale tanks, he be PWNED!

Anyhow I'd be a bit more accurate with tank building, but considering that Chinese one Im trying to model after a pic, I can't make that whole thing like Justin's.

But still... mines would PWN yours.
WW2 tech -vs- 21st Century tech

Im still waiting for those green parts so I can FINALLY show the completed tank.

Tiger 1's had an 88mm cannon.

This new tank from China is reported to possess a 152mm cannon according to Janes.com. Even the US's M1A2 Abrams with its 120mm cannon is outclassed.

Hole? I think you mean "dent".

Just though you should know they had two different kinds of tiger tanks, the one I made has a howitzer built in. which could blow a hole about five inchs into any tank. think about that :)

That IS the 88mm cannon Im talking about. It was the "anti-tank gun" of its era. The Tiger 1's maximum armor is only 110mm thick using plain old steal. Also known as chew toys for modern tanks since modern ones use things like HEAT rounds, and penetrator rounds that can be coated with depleted uranium.

Remember what happened to the T-72s of the Iraqi Republican Guard back in the 1st Gulf War, when the M1A1 Abrams went up against them with their depleted uranium and HEAT round guns? They got owned, badly.

T-98, currently China's most advanced tank in production. As for that super-tank, its something that is still in development according to Janes.com and Im sure whoever leaked the image of that super-tank into Sina.com must be currently digging in coal mines by now.... or worse.... working in a factory making Shifty-Brick!!!
http://www.sinodefence.com/army/tank/type98.asp

BTW, the T-98 fires an ATGM, anti-tank guided missile with its 125mm cannon which can be fired at a much longer range than a tank/howitzer shell while its guidance systems insures accuracy. AKA, your tank is dead. Now think about that.

As for the super-tank... I wouldn't doubt that it'd be VASTLY superior to the T-98, as its being suggested even by Western analysists to outclass the top tank in the world right now, America's M1A2 Abrams. Now think about that even further. :D

You know they updated the M1A1 Abrams. you should see what they can do, they can lock onto another tank less than a second. and is way more powerful than the first version. they will own that crap that comes out of china

It still takes time to traverse the turret. Then there's this thing called accuracy. Even with fly-by-wire guidance you can still miss. Megablocks, even the "smart bombs" can sometimes miss their targets.

There's this thing to consider called armor, as well as the reactive armor being used by Russian and Chinese tanks. AFAIK, I have yet to see actual combat between latest generation tanks of different countries. Though conventional tank to tank warfare nowadays has been thrown out the window thanks to things like helicopters, planes, and guided missiles.

I also sincerely doubt that China or the US has released too much development info about their tanks, secrecy about arms development is still the norm.

Besides this is a Lego site and the discussion was about Lego tanks that don't actually shoot anything. So I can tell JP that my Dragons can withstand any non-magical form of attack and that their fire could melt his puny human tanks in an instant. This is Lego people not real life, reality doesn't really apply. :D
