Jojo has at least one, but he isn't selling.....

Those are pretty rare. even if someone has one, I doubt if they'll be willing to sell. And certainly not cheap.

It didn't come in any set. As the story goes, Lego made the mold for the ghost way beack when - around 1990, when it first came out. It was tested with red plastic to make sure it "worked". A worker there must of taken them home and given them to his kids. They grew up and their Legos ended up in a pawn shop or the like where Jojo picked them up. The rest they say, is history...

However, this brings up an interesting point. If the red ghost didn't come in any set and never intended to be in that color, is it "offical Lego"?

Could we see a picture of it? I have never even heard of a red one. I am curious as to what it looks like.

Well, here's a pic of it from Jojo's gallery. Among other rare pieces. Darn, I don't even have one of the items pictured! :P

I thought Jojo had two of them. I wonder if I went to the LEGO factory, gave them $100 to make a red ghost with red ABS if they would do it. Hmm, time to see if my dad will use his Airmiles to get a trip to Denmark...

I wouldn't call it official LEGO although it's an official LEGO element, shape-wise. It was not even made by LEGO themselves. It is, however, a nice addition to my collection.

I don't think, though, a red ghost is exactly reasonable. Ghosts have to be white or, as far as wraiths go, not wearing such a sheet at all.

Well, i think it might be a reasonable color. Ghosts don't instantly come with sheets, they're invisible and trying to draw attention or scaring or something by the sheet. The red one just wasn't in time to get a white one so he just went for the red tablecloth
Whatever you do, don't.

The Red Ghost is a blood ghost like the Red Skeletons from the Castlevania video game series...well that's what I believe...

I think the red ghost is cool (I wish I had one  ).

Do you accept monopoly money?

Even though the red ghost is cool and unique, $25,000 should buy a lot more than one Lego piece.
