Is there a danger of having your Legos melt a little in hot water? What I mean by melting is that the Legos don't fit so well because they were softened by hot water and soap. It never happened to me, I don't think. I read it somewhere on the internet.
You've got to ask yourself one question,"Do I feel lucky?" Well do ya, punk?

ABS plastic melts at about 105 Deg C / 221 Deg F, so boiling water does soften the plastic. If the water's only hot to the touch, but not too hot that it burns, (Around 38 Deg C, 100 Deg F) it shouldn't cause any harm. I don't think soap matters in this instance, it's all about the temperature.
