Would any of you be willing to check something out? If you have the packaging for your Hula girl, Baseball player, Mummy, and Sumo Wrestler; check to see if there is an extra dot near the numbers: 538B0.

I don't know if it's just me, but I think I'm seeing dots there. I don't have the gorilla, pilot, or race car driver yet so I can't check them, but I haven't found any extra dots on any of the others.

Thanks! I'm just trying to get the dots down because I'm really lousy at feeling up the bags. I'd be awful in a blind build.

I agree. I'm using one of the new beards with a noseguard/neck-protector helmet http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3844 and some short legs to create a dwarf. Made him look like Games Workshop's White Dwarf in his original guise. :)

I do not have any in front of me but as I sorted mine I noticed the dot near the numbers that threw me off until I started opening them.

I only went on a couple of shopping trips for these, but I did notice that some of the dot codes I found on the packages weren't 100% consistent with the deciphering sheet shown earlier in this thread. Specifically I think I noticed the baseball player, and possibly the fisherman were different by a single dot from the code sheets. Since the dots are so difficult to see, I just figured the person who originally put together the deciphered code got most of it but might have missed one or two dots. Alternatively, maybe there's more to the code which people haven't caught onto yet.

I hate the dot system. Feeling the bags is the only way to be sure, and even then that helps very little until you can positively ID a single unique part.

I think that's what it is. The person who put together that decoder probably didn't see that there were additional dots where the numbers are embossed into the bag. They are extremely hard to see. When you're looking at the Hula Girl, the extra dot appears directly under and barely touching the B in the 538B0. If you're looking at the Baseball player, the dot appears in the same place only slightly more to the right. In the Mummy, the dot is over the B, and in the Sumo the dot is right on top of the upper half of the B.

Either way, this is fun. I really like the fisherman, but I surprised myself by liking the snowboarder a lot.
Thanks for the responses!

I came across a second cheat-sheet someone put together. It's slightly different than the one that was posted earlier in this thread.

From what I heard at the last Lug meeting I went to, there are different dot codes for different lots....
I did my S@H order of 16 and got 3 lot codes: 138B0 (9), 546B0 (6) and 544B0 (1).

I got 2 samurai, 1 Rapper, 1 Fisherman, 3 Mummies, 1 Race car Driver, 1 Pilot, 2 Sumo Wrestlers, 1 Guy in Gorilla Costume, 1 Female Snowboarder, 1 Alien with Ray Gun, 1 Female Tennis player and 1 Evil Cyborg with Ray Gun.

I didn't think of it in time to mark which package each 'fig came in, I wasn't expecting different Lot codes from the shipment.

I've also seen a lot code 446B0 that I got a few 'fig from a couple weeks back.

I've managed to completely miss getting any Elves or Tribal Chieftains so far....
Build? I merely Acquire atm.
