VIP Members Vote
Received an email from LEGO with the following details:
"We know how much our LEGO® fans love their minifigures! That's why we're giving your little VIPs the chance to tell us their number one character from the LEGO Minifigure Series 1 - 3. Simply click on their preferred minifigure below to register your vote. We will then turn the most popular characters into an exclusive LEGO Minifigure set, only available to LEGO VIPs!* Choose wisely, you only get to vote once! Voting closes July 30."
Almost didn't spot it in my junk mail folder...

Re: VIP Members Vote
This is awesome news! I saw this pop up in my inbox too. Here's the screenshots for those who didn't get it.
The most interesting part is the part at the end:

I wonder what the set will be...*Voting closes on 30 July 2011 and is restricted to one vote per registered VIP Member. The top 5 minifigures will be announced in the November email newsletter and the set will be exclusively available to VIP Members to purchase in 2012, and at this time terms will be announced. The sets will be available for as long as supplies last. Please be aware that while every best effort will be made to exactly replicate the minifigures from the series range, if the winning minifigures contain parts no longer in production, we will look to find the closest looking pieces as a replacement part, and if no suitable replacement parts are readily available, we will substitute the minifigure(s) in question with runners-up.

Re: VIP Members Vote
I'm guessing the spartan and zombie are dead certs (and factoring in their various pieces are all still in production? correct me if I'm wrong. I'm thinking spartan helm in atlantis). Though guess they could end up making an elf with a standard bow.
Themed packs would be nice (historical, monsters, sports etc) along the lines of the vintage figure series, but kind of makes the whole idea of blind collecting a bit pointless.
I remain open to persuasion

Re: VIP Members Vote
For me the choices were between the Spartan and the Elf.

Re: VIP Members Vote
I voted for the Elf, but I hope that the Spartan and Pharaoh will be part of the set too.
Re: VIP Members Vote
I love the Elf, Spartan, Robinhood, Pharoh, Musketeer,Caveman, Zombie, and Viking, in that order (I also love the Kimono girl and Samurai, but I have three of each already). I voted for the Elf, but any of the above would make awsome sets. I have a feeling that since series 3 and 4 are still in production I bet that anyone who uses molds available in these or series 5 will be exactly as they were, but I could be wrong. I love the opportunity to vote on a lego set and I hope they do more things like this in the future. Imagine if we could vote on the next castle theme
Back to the front!
Re: VIP Members Vote
I also voted for Elf. My buddy voted for the spartan, but that would have been my 2nd choice.

Re: VIP Members Vote
If you are a VIP member, you would have gotten an email about voting. Check your spam. Check your VIP account to make sure you have the right email on file. They were smart, you can only vote once off the email. And as far as I have been told, you can't forward it to another to vote with because it is tagged with your email.Maybe a dumb quetion, but where is the vote? I went to the Lego site and did not see it, but then maybe I am missing something.

I am a VIP member, my email address was right, no emails in the SPAM filter, and I did not get the email.
This is not the first time I have missed out on a VIP opportunity.

Re: VIP Members Vote
You may want to call customer service and ask for a little advice then. LEGO's customer service is the best. It never hurts to call and ask for help. Maybe you told them not to send you emails at one point.I am a VIP member, my email address was right, no emails in the SPAM filter, and I did not get the email.
This is not the first time I have missed out on a VIP opportunity.
But as far as this is concerned, I do know of a few people who did not get the email, some are Canadian, and some did not have their emails updated.
Re: VIP Members Vote
Voted for the Zombie as it's one of the few figures I do not have and also seems to be the most expensive. Curious to see how the voting turns out.
