The only way not to drown in your own pieces is: Keep it always sorted and never neglect it in any way. put labels on your boxes and store it in a logical way.Commander Redbeard wrote:How about the old-timers out there who have like roomfuls of lego? I find mine hard enough to sort...
I keep a record of all my pieces in the computer, so I always know if I have enough parts when building a MOC.
Don't be too much in desperation. After nearly 50 years of sorting, you will certainly get the hang of it

Very nice, Bruce. I just seperate my pieces by color, I'm too lazy to dump out all my lego and do it up like that. I keep my minifigs in a big bin too, but most are usually in huge killer battles and MOCs, if they die they go back on in. It's not too organized, but it's cool.
Sitting in a midnight glade
Firelight dancing off burnished blade
A Forestman sits
Wondering about the next day
But after three mugs of ale
Let it bring what it may.
