I found some odd old pieces

I picked up a small container of Lego bricks yesterday at my local Goodwill. It had around 50 pieces, mostly basic bricks (because who can ever have too many basic bricks?) and a couple common slopes. There were a few pieces I've never seen before, so I thought I'd share them.

First we have these old windows/door frame. According to Bricklink, they haven't been used since the 70s.

Here's the container, you can see a standard red rowboat next to it for size comparison. It has a copyright date of 1985 on the bottom.

And the final curiosity, a minifig torso with no gripping mechanism to hold the legs inside at all. I assume this is what the inside of the first minifigs were like? For those curious, the print is this: http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/973p13

The container is a LEGO lunch box that they have been making for quite a while. I believe I purchased mine from a LEGO brand store several years ago.

I think the hollow torsos without the grip were used on figures from 1978 up until the earlier 80's. Then they put the grip inside them so that they wouldn't come apart so easily.
I checked some of my older castle figures The Falcons and Lions have the grip. But the older torsos with the grey/white and red insignia inside the blue border are all hollow.
