Collectible Minifigures - London Olympics

I'm seeing a lot of auctions on eBay for London Olympics collectible minifigures. It's a set of 9 on white bases with an olympic logo. This is allegedly a limited edition series that is only available in Great Britain. They are not on BrickLink, but appear to be real.

If you're out to collect all of the collectible minifigures you should snap these up while you can. Though perhaps wait until somebody confirms these aren't counterfeit.

They are certainly real. If you go to Shop@Home and change your region to Great Britain, you can find them in the Minifigures section listed at £1.99.

They are real like Handar said. Now if only we all had friends in the London area.

I do. My brother is living over there although he's holidaying in Canada for a few weeks. Might look into this.

They are real and they are on BrickLink. Unfortunately the catalog admins are dragging their feet in adding them to the catalog. This drives up the prices because the figs can only be listed as custom items and it is difficult to compare prices.

Check the BL forums and you will see numerous posts from UK sellers with the figs in their stores. Around $5 USD a fig plus shipping seems to be the going rate. I was lucky enough to find them for less than $4 a fig. Your mileage may vary.

Hi there, they are indeed real and are a licensed product for Team GB hence the UK exclusivity. I was hesitant to get sucked in to collecting another set of figures (still waiting for series 8!) but there's only 9 in this set so a lot easier to complete.

I have a number spare, and could pick up some more if people are interested (I'm in the UK).

I haven't ordered any yet and am kind of reluctant to do so- I don't think there's much moc-age in them.

True they'll be collector's items and rare ina few months, but where's the fun in keeping them shelved?
