Post by Dragon Master »

What is your favorite combonation for Timber Frame buildings.

Frame is color listed first, daub second.

I went with black/other because I like seeing black over brown. I don't care for white too much, but tan is good, but since I like more than tan, I had to go with other. But you can read "... and tan" into there.

I voted Black with White. It is the most cost effective way to build one of these houses. That doesn't mean I don't like other colors, I have Brown and tan, Black and Tan, Black and Yellow and Black and Red houses in my village. I quite like the Brown and Tan house, but it was awful expensive compared to a Black and White house.

I went with black and tan. It was the best there and I couldn't think of anything better. I really must someday build a house like that.

Well I guess the Brown and Tan house can be the house of a noble/rich person then! :)

Guinness and Bass...

Er, uh, Black and Tan that is, if you're under 21!

I think black & white looks a little too pristine for the medieval period. Brown and white looks pretty good--more timber-like.

Brown and white is a very sharp combo. It looks accurate to me too.

Ah - but you forgot styles...

I think my favorite style is the brown rounds timbers with tan daub, over a mottled light gray with touches of dark gray base. I really like the unusual shaped ones. not just rectangular. more organic looking.
there - i said it and i stand by it. :D
