Your Most Common Grey Colour

So, naturally most of us will use multiple shades of grey to build with. I was wondering which grey is mostly used for your bricks and plates?

The vast majority of mine is the old school light grey as I mostly have classic sets.

I only build in the old, pre-2003 colors. I still shop at the pick-a-brick walls and buy basic sets that come with mostly primary colors. I really wish they had made something like the Medieval Market Village in the old colors. I just can't bring myself to make the change.

I use both bley and old grey, but the amount of bley bricks I have surpasses the amount of old grey by a large amount. Honestly I only use old grey for support or to look REALLY withered down.

You old grey holdouts have got to let go eventually!

This is what I've realised since acquiring the MMV and current Jousting one and surprised myself in how quickly I came to love them (even though the bricks don't feel like the original ones). I'm trying to wrap my head around the quantity and make up of what some of us builders have at our disposal. I'm keen on stepping up to build something better than the classic feel stuff I've done (even though I still like it) and am getting a feel for what's involved. I wouldn't mind hearing what sort of quantities of 1x1's and 1x2's people have too. I think I've quickly realised that when not using panels for walls, I can't really build much with any real size.

I have mainly bley and dark bley, but some of the old greys too. My supply of dark bley is mostly slopes (though I'm amassing some bricks too) while my collection of bley is mostly castle building pieces :)

Potato, potay-to. I uses what I gots and what I gots is both. I mix it up a bit, like any other color mix for variety. I love earth-tone colors.

I agree with Count Blacktron about this, but I will say I have probably mostly light bley. It's all thanks to the pick a brick wall. :D

This thread is more appropriate in the General LEGO forum. I will move it there.

Thanks,

I am a relative newcomer so I am all lbley and dark bley. I dont like to use the old gray colors becaues to my eye, they appear dirty to me rather than a contrast in color. I am sure I am in the minority, but I just end up removing the old colors whenever I see that I used them in a project.
