Cuusoo announcement:

Super disappointed with the rejection of the western town. Especially since it was because of the Lone Ranger license. They should have at least modified it to fit the license and sold it as a Diagon Alley type set.

Not real into Back to the Future either, so will probably be skipping yet another Cuusoo set...

Further confirmation of why Cuusoo is a service that promises more than it can really deliver.

Very disappointed about the rejection of the Western set too, but with the only approved idea worryingly being Back to the Future it shows again that LegoLuvzLicenses.

Too bad about the western town, but I think they really would have gone with it if they didn't have a licensed product coming out right now. Maybe they'll reconsider it in the future. On a tangent, the Lone Ranger sets look pretty good, so I'm excited about new Western offerings in general.

Delorean is pretty cool. I am surprised as this seems a little dead as a licensed property. Of course, it seems like I see those movies playing every time I flip through random channels late at night, so I guess kids today would be pretty familiar with the set.

Hmm, what's next? Ferris Bueler sets?

Yep, I too, was very disappointed to see the Western town not getting through.

But I am really looking forward to the Lone ranger sets! :)

It's too bad we won't get to see a modular western town. I think there was some real potential there.

On the Legend of Zelda sets, LEGO wrote
"Please note: If a project does not pass the LEGO Review please do not interpret that as an indication that we will not consider similar projects in the future."
How do you guys interpret that?

My response on hearing that Back to the Future made it: "YES! YES! YES!" :D (It's my favorite movie ever, pretty much, so - yeah. I'm excited. :spin: )

That it's not that a Legend of Zelda set is totally out of the question, but this particular vision would have been too expensive to make - I believe they talk about new minifigure molds specifically. So if someone wants to put together a less new-mold-intensive version . . .

There is another, less mold intensive project currently on CUUSOO. M1NGLES (the creator of the original project) has redirected attention towards that project.

Not surprised the Western town got rejected. It would have been too expensive a set/risk. They could have rejected Back to the Future if they wanted to due to a 'licensing problem,' but Lego likesit cause it will be cheap.

I wonder if that will be the Cuusso key. Keep the set size to a $30 - $50 range... So far that is what they have gone with and have rejected the larger options...
