How do you display your minifigs?
How do you display your minifigs?
Recently, I have started getting big into the collecitble series minifigs, and I now know I want to get all of them. But getting them isn't enough, because my son would die if they weren't on display.
So how do you display your minifigs? I've thought about just going the old baseplate fashion, but i'm not sure.
And how do you display your CSM?
Give me some ideas!

Re: How do you display your minifigs?
Well, the only minifigures I really display are my armies, and they are on display in the sense that I have them standing on baseplates until I need them for creations, at which point they are taken off accordingly.
A green/blue/gray baseplate seems to do the job pretty well.

I have a small wooden shelving unit hanging above my LEGO table where I stick minifigs in various states of progress - I think it was oringinally for Hot Wheels-type cars, similar to this:
. . . only not so big.

As far as myself, mine are all in organizers/containers minus a Bagpiper and Lady Liberty, which I'm still trying to think up a way to keep the dust off… But my brother plans on using these to display his CMF.

These are all really cool!
Knightman I love the stackable LEGO displays, but display ALL CMF, would get to be very pricey

Re: How do you display your minifigs?
I've been thinking about screwing a baseplate to the wall and mounting the figures vertically instead of horizontally. I also want to see if vertical baseplates will hold my Slave-1s up for display and play around with some vertical construction ideas.

Re: How do you display your minifigs?
I built an L-shaped stand to fit in a cabinet and I also often use it to fill in space at public displays:
Of course, It used up a lot of grey arches so it may be dismantled in the future but I think I may have enough "coloured" arches to do a new version in layers of red, blue and yellow which would be fun too.

That's awesome, Tedward! So much so that I'm considering doing my own version. Do you have any close-up photos of individual archways?

Someone else posted a closer shot of a recent installation: http://www.flickr.com/photos/royt81/847 ... 46979@N23/Karalora wrote:Do you have any close-up photos of individual archways?
There is nothing tricky about it. I did make the first two layers 4-deep to add some stability which also allowed for three figs to fit nicely under the wider arches.
The next version I will try to make it hinged so it can close. It is rather annoying to transport.
