So...I'm browsing Youtube, right? Watching some Lego Stopmotion animation, when I find this ad:

And then I'm thinking... :o ... :twitch: ...

Official description reads:
"The LEGO® Movie," the first-ever, full-length theatrical LEGO® adventure, directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller, opens in theaters February 7, 2014. It stars the vocal talents of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman and Alison Brie, with Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.

The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.
Official website here.

Despite the awful Pitbull music in the background, I'm pretty excited! For sure will be aimed at kids, but heck, I'll go!

What do you think?

I mean, that was my reaction as well.

I mean come on. LEGO, combined with Morgan freaking Freeman, Batman, a guy named after Doc Brown, and a random 1980s Space guy! What's not to love!? :spin:

It's been official for a while! There was an announcement a few months back, and there's been a competition to design a vehicle that would be featured (in the background I'm guessing) in the movie :D

Wondering how it's going to differ from the Clutch Powers Movie (other than better animation), which was basically a string of events involving different lego themes/products. It's in good hands in terms of the directors, and seems to have picked up a decent voice cast so interested to see how it turns out.

And yes, I now want that Morgan Freeman character minifig.

I eagerly await February. Seems I am the only one who has been excited for this since the rumours first surfaced back in Dec of 2010.
