Hey guys!

The title says it all, really, what does your LEGO space look like? Do you have a simple desk, a whole room, a closet, or maybe even an entire house? Tell us about it! Photos are encouraged. I've got the ball rolling with my own desk/LEGO area in my room:

I cleared off a lot of space recently (meaning I had to re-sort the various bits and bobs on my desk) to make room for my newest MOC, which you can see a the beginnings of in the photo.

So, feel free to share your space as well! :)

Mine is one word:

disaster

It is spread all over the house. I currently have something like 100 pounds of unsorted brick all over the living room for as I try and find all of the 1 by plates I can to finish the MOC I am building. This will be cleaned up before I sleep..but not sorted at all. I have brick in 4 rooms, the basement, 2 closets..um..make that 3. I REALLY need to get a volunteer to help me sort and organize this disaster.

A row of four or five shelves along one wall holding tubs of bricks and MOCs. Two shelves on the wall with the modular buildings on them. Under those shelves are two tables with large displays (one Monster Fighter and one half finished Middle East) nearly filling them. Multiple piles of bricks in whatever color(s) I happen to be building with at the moment; currently its blue, white and black. There is also a large open area in the middle of the floor where my 3 year old plays.

This is about as neat and tidy as I've been in a while:

I also have some resale Lego in a corner of the spare room, and my army is bagged in ziplocks by faction in a cabinet in the spare room as well :P
As you can see, MOC storage space is at a premium. Most of my MOCs end up on top of the dog's kennel for temporary storage / display. (He hasn't eaten one yet...)

I keep my bricks in an assortment of stackable plastic drawers, cheap toolboxes, and lidded containers in my bedroom. Smaller boxes go in the large drawers built into my bed, and I have the arrangement of them down to a Tetris-like science so that they all fit. The rest are located between the foot of my bed and the wall, and next to the closet (two big sliding panels--the LEGO storage is in the middle so they don't block access).

Unfortunately, I don't have a table in there, so when I want to build, I have to drag containers out to my living room and use the coffee table. Completed constructions get displayed on top of the entertainment center until I'm ready to take them apart, which might be the next day or weeks to months later.

I would love to be able to put together some kind of proper workspace for my building. The photo in the OP is like a dream to me. But in an apartment, I have to make do.

Overlord and Brickster - do you find that your building surface is big enough or does it seem too small sometimes?

Having just returned to the US and my collection I'm preparing to move into an apartment. Being a single guy I'm hoping that will allow for a Lego room. :)

Currently my collection is still packed in crates and boxes in a storage room.

I definitely run out of room. As my collection has grown, my space to actually use it has diminished considerably!
Quite a conundrum!

This is actually the cleanest my desk has been in a while, and I normally can't do large scale dioramas (the current one I have is set up into a few parts out of frame). The sorting bins take up a lot of space, more than one would think, and it makes it smaller than it could be.

Compound that with the mess I normally make of everything, and sometimes it can be a tight squeeze. Normally it's not much of an issue, and I've got my entire bed to put things on, if only until I go to sleep.

Haha!

Well. The floor of my room is half covered with lego bricks, I have two bins full of bricks stacked on each other beneath a desk, which is also covered in bricks and small works in progress. In addition to this, I have a large plastic bag full of bricks in the corner. I have three book cases which are all half full of mocs, sets, and custom figures/armies. Then I have another desk, which is mostly taken up by a very large moc of Osgiliath I am working on. Strewn around said moc are more bricks and pieces. My dresser has some legos on top of it. I also have a couple boxes on the floor and in the closet which are full of mocs. Set on top of these boxes are small customs and extra pieces.

So, practically every surface in my room has legos on it, although I like working at my desk for large creations...

Also, I am normally more organized then this, but I recently moved, so I have yet to organize my space. :D

It's nothing to fancy, but it get's the job done.
I've always liked a neat workspace. Having an untidy one drives me crazy. :D

I've been meaning to post mine for a while, so here it goes:

Everything's been annotated on the actual Flickr photo. I've still got a lot of work ahead of me as the colors need to be sorted by parts and there's still basic sorting to be done, but this is the most organized I've been in say...3 years probably.

This video I took of my Dalek gives a pretty good idea of what my Lego area looks like. Once I get the Dalek out of the way, I'll take a picture and note it up telling what is where.

These Lego spaces look too ordered compared to mine. I have a tub for tan, brown, dark tan and white a tub for greys and black.. a box of old greys.. and then it gets crazy with boxes. There's probably about 40 boxes with parts. None of them are labelled or sorted into size , colour or shapes.. Just ideas like parts for castles, parts for egyptian buildings etc.
The only parts that I have really sorted are the containers for minifig parts.
