Thanks for the clarification Bruce.
The source for all your LEGO Castle needs!

Man, I would have totally bought more of them if Lego had done that instead!Kev wrote:Bluesecrets wrote:I SO totally agree!!! Just leave out Scrappy please.I would prefer a Scooby Doo series. (with lots of classic villains)
It's what the Monster Hunters line should have been.
This would be one of the best things Lego could do! You're totally right, there are so many possibilities with additional characters and soldiers... I'd buy them out in a heartbeat if they ever decided to do something like that!Kev wrote:What about other movies? Thinking about this, I can't help but think a Lord of The Rings CMF series would just be the best thing ever. Fill it with all those cool secondary charatcers and army builders that won't make the main line: Easterling, Rosie, Shagrak, Butterbur, First Age Elf warrior, Isildor, etc. I would buy several cases.
Oh my goodness, this idea screams money maker! I would be all over this. Seems like a great idea from a business standpoint.Bruce N H wrote:I love the idea of a CMF Lord of the Rings line as a great way to both include minor figs and also act as an army builder source.

Good point but that was Lucas Films. Does it apply to all licenses? Who knows.Wasn't there a conflict with releasing licensed minifigs as stand-alones related to the reason they changed magnets so that you can't remove the figs anymore? Something about them being too similar to "action figures" instead of "building toys", which caused problems with the way the licenses are structured.
Also, all licenses expire sometime. Hopefully any action figure one would expire soon. Not like there are any AF lines for LOTR out there these days, anyway.Bluesecrets wrote:Good point but that was Lucas Films. Does it apply to all licenses? That would be amazing. I already spend WAY too much on the CMFs anyway, and at least these would be chock-full of could medieval fig parts. Also, I think they should do a series based castle. They've really hit on something with this series based on themes idea.Aeridian wrote:This would be one of the best things Lego could do! Yes, I agree completely. This would definitely not have been my choose for a license(Mechwarrior, PLEASE) and I hope the minifig series is the end of it.OverLoad wrote:I agree completely.Bluesecrets wrote:If this is true, it has completely killed all interest in series 13 for me. I hope those of you who want this will be happy and enjoy.I just read on Brickset that CMF series 13 will exclusively be Simpsons characters set to release in April/May of 2014.
I hope that this is the extent of the license at this point. A one-off minifigure series, and then nothing of it anymore.
Thank you for not linking them or posting them. There are some pictures out there, I'm not sure they're fair game or leaks, so I'll not post them yet. In an unusual twist on licensed themes, the figures look terrible and the set looks good.
