Geez, you make it sound like it was for my benefit!Bruce N H wrote:Hmm, I've added a warning to my initial post. Seems a little tame, though, to require one, n'est pas? It's pretty much in keeping with all classic sculptures I've ever seen. Anyway, there ya go.

I think the fact that it is done in a single shade speaks more to the artistic quality of the piece, and the fact that it is indeed not to be viewed as pornographic. Colorful additions, shading, and the like would certainly change the flavor of this sculpture. As it is done, it is in tasteful, beautiful form, and really really cool.
Hello!
It's not pornographic. Pornography focusses on the coitus and on the sexual organs.
Nudity is what you have underneath your clothes. It's how you are born and how you have seen your mother's breasts when you were breast-feeded. Nudity is not evil, it's nothing that causes you to go blind if you see it and you won' go to Megablocks because of it.
Bye

The relation between mathmatics and biology, sciense and art, Something(dont remember in englsh) and politics has ben sentral in lots of my earlier works.
I often choose to use a scientific way to work. This (something i dont know) form of working gives a fantastic opertunety to se things from another anglel, that kan make us see complicated and (something) themes on a simple, funny and full of fantasy way.
The Medi i use is ideas - the results is presented in all forms like sound, paintings, video, skulpture - for genmanipulating and lasertecnology.
"Lego Kjersti. Polydron atomer."
The sculpture is about 5,20 metres tall and is made by about. 140 000 yellow lego brics.
Lego is built on the prinsipp of bricolage; that evrything is built by smaller brics, somethins that easy gives assotiations to atoms, genes and other "brics" inside the nature sciense (electrones, fotones, etc.) it is these assosiations that is the scourse of this project.
One of the challenges was to get the sculpture to look like a anatomic and organic correct shape, even if its made bu scuares. To make this possible i did a3D bodyscan by my body, thag gave a almost ecsact computer copy of the shape i wanted. This was digitally scaled to five metres; before we pulled a cam throuh the body. The cam stopped at each 0,9 mm (the heigth of a lego brick) and took a pic of the figure it was mede into a scuarethingy on the comp and each scuare represented a 1x1 brick and that way it gave me an exact workdraving.
The sice was nesasary to give the most details as possible. longer out in the cientific referanc, the work is alto abot being a young artist ready to take ower the world. Not so diffrent from other whit the same wish, is the monumental sculptures they have got made to be themselves(Mao, Lenin, Stalin, Hussein etc.). It is therfor important that this is supposed to be me.
Well i guess that was about it and i cant say to you that it all is the ecsact same but i tried.
if you wonder it stood in oslo at aker brygge
