Minifigure Collection (TRU Exclusives)

Post by Purple Wolf »

So I was looking on bricklink when I found these

http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?S=5002147-1

All I've got to say is these are terrible. The figs look like they come out of Build a Fig. Unlike the older one's that had cool old figs this one insteed got new boring figs.

Whats your oppinion?

I would pick up at least one of each. I don't think they're terrible. It would be nice if they had an all Castle version.

Purple Wolf I am kind of with you. I don't know that they are terrible, but I don't particularly care for them. Then again, it seems the only way you can get them is by buying $75.00 worth of LEGO, right? Being the case, for being free LEGO it's better than nothing. Even then, I wish they were better

Yeah, a few of those seem to be thrown together. I rarely spend more than $40 at TRU, let alone $75+. They don't seem that tempting to me to spend that much for them. But if I did I wouldn't really mind, because like SSchimidt said, they're free! :tasty:

I'm not sure that I find them terrible. I see some things in each that I think are good. But I won't be heading to TRU to spend $75 just to get these. They aren't that amazing to me. And I can get the figs from other sources. But then, I think those people who are just starting to build their collections might appreciate and like them. Also, free LEGO is free and to me free LEGO is always a good thing.

A lot of those pieces are currently in the build-a-fig at my local LEGO store, so presumably at other stores as well. I've specifically seen the admiral's daughter, the lion knight torso, and the pirate, also that orange female town torso, and I think a couple of the other town torsos while digging through the parts bin within the last month.

Do I think they are terrible? No.

Are they worth me spending $75 on Lego at TRU to get even one of them? No. Definitely not.

I'll spend my lego budget at Shop@Home to get double VIP, free shipping, and at the end of October, get the first part of the holiday giveaways.

Thank you very much.
