Abe Lincoln is ace! Diggin' Shakespeare as well. I'd love to get a Panda or two or three... anyway the rest look alright. Some nice new molds/colors I see. The set is pretty interesting, not sure I need pink that much though.

WB released a new trailer a few days ago. You can see some of the new Series 12 minifigs there. Also, here's another set: Lord Business' Hideout.

love the new preview. The set is really nice and I must say that's the second biggest cap I've even seen. Anyways it's a nice set I just wonder when these will come out and how much there going to be.

I note with interest the lack of Lord Business' weird hairpiece, as well as the presence of the Unicorn Kitty and a "Where are my Pants?" sign. Also, that red Wrestler that turned up a couple weeks ago.

I find it interesting that the two cops form "Lord Buisness's Hideout" have clear stands like the ones form the Toy Story army men why would Lego give them that do that?

They seem to be getting zapped by something behind them, so that might explain the frozen/melting base.

I'm sure a lot of the more wacky elements will make sense in the context of the film's storyline. I love that we're seeing a lot of pieces in new colours. Interested to see what other sets the theme/film produce (and a really want the wizard/Morgan Freeman fig to turn up in a smaller set!).
Less talking, more MOCing.

For Castle/LotR/fantasy minifig collectors, there aren't many 'must haves' in this series.

Ones I'll be be displaying more-or-less as they are:

- Mermaid
- Shakespeare

Ones I'll get for parts:

- Mrs Scratchen

That lady in the back looks like Joan from Mad Men... well except for the robot face...

I'm surprisingly happy with this theme. Mermaid, Shakespeare, Cat Lady, Girl in Black Dress, and the female androids/zombies are all pretty cool.

There are a lot of great parts I can use to make my own figures.

I also like the Lego Movie sets I've seen so far, just for their craziness.

Looking at Lego.com and I discovered some new set http://www.lego.com/en-us/movie/products/products/70807

I'm really liking the small one with the horse. Looking at all these set really makes me wonder what the movie going to be like.

Ah! A pirate-robot with a shark-hand, cannon arm, and a peg-leg!

This is the most awesome thing ever!

This movie looks like it's going to be very weird. Basically theme-mash-up after theme-mash-up. Basically this is the rebirth of Time Twisters. Looking at the set hints is intriguing. Western is cool. It looks like there will be a couple of really good vehicles for town builders with an ice cream truck and a garbage truck. Maybe a swamp-boat for police with a crocodile? Kind of a steampunk biplane with cannons on the wings. I'm not as sold on the mechs and the hints of futuristic vehicles. Anyway, I eagerly await them unveiling the other sets. Do we know what rate they're revealing these? One a day? Every few days?

THE LEGO MOVIE Sets and CMF Line

Post by AK_Brickster »

The whole movie vaguely reminds me of "The Fifth Element".

Huh... "element".... funny coincidence? ;)

I won't be buying any of the sets, more than likely. I'll probably just BL some of the better parts, particularly the Morgan Freeman figure :)

(since we are talking about Lego movie CMF as well as new sets, perhaps a thread title update is in order?)

Just looking at one of the "to be reveled" sets it look like we have a castle based one with light gray and blue colors which might mean a lion faction fig. I really hope it does.

Hey,

As noted above, you can see hints of these sets here which LEGO is slowly unveiling. If you're too impatient to wait, it turns out you can edit the url for the images and get the revealed images. Brickset has them all here. Interestingly, it looks like there will be two version of several of the sets. For instance, if you look at 70804 under the cover, it looks like a pretty straightforward ice cream truck.
Image
OTOH, the 'revealed' image appears to be a different model. It looks like in the movie several things that start out as fairly normal vehicles or buildings will be rebuilt to make mechas or spaceships.
Image
I'm guessing a lot of these sets will have two sets of instructions. Which then leads to set 70806, Castle Cavalry:
Image
The name seems odd, because there aren't any horses, but what do you think the other model will be here. From the parts I'm guessing it will be a tower and a small cart.
