Imperial Barracks

This is my first build in the Pirate theme. It was a lot of fun to build and I plan to do lots more Pirate builds. The barracks has a full interior, and the doors can open.

The Imperial Barracks sits on a corner of the Imperial Fort:

Any comments/criticism would be appreciated :)

I love it Isaac! The barracks is great! The wall is fantastic, and the rockwork is beautiful! Great work man! :D

As a quick photo tip, I'd recommend setting this against a light blue background, as the tower sort of looks like it is floating with the white lower part being difficult to see against the white backdrop. General JJ of Garheim uses light blue for his (their?) snowy northern MOCs and it looks awesome.

Keep up the good work! Nice to see you branching out to other themes a bit :)

This is really neat! The background would look better if it was another colour (say, blue), but apart from that this is perfect!

@mpoh98: Thanks Matthew!

@Brickninja: Thank you :)

@AK_Brickster: Thanks for the tip, I've had four or five others say the same thing and I definitely plan to use a different color background next time. And I have two more modules the same size as this almost finished :wink:

@Sir Erathor: Thanks

I'm really impressed by how you manage to make the interior compact yet cozy looking (like you seem to do with many of your other builds). That is a skill I wish I had years ago. The only thing that could make this better is if you had the interior accessible from a side in addition to the top.

Thanks! And interestingly enough, I came to the same conclusion and I'm leaving the back sides open on the building I'm currently doing :)

Glad to see your skills put to use in this theme. Unfortunately, I think it is a theme that does not get as much love as it deserves. Looking forward to more!

Thanks SSchmidt, and I agree with you, I wish there were more Pirate builds. I have two more modules completed and ready to photograph :eyebrows:

Thanks RBC, that's one nice thing about the Pirate theme, you get to use lots of bright colors :)

Wow what a awesome build! It's cool that you have so much detail on such a small base! Great job.
