Hey all,

I hadn't seen this mentioned before - I was at McDonalds earlier and they have LEGO Movie cups with their Happy Meals. I took a quick photo of the display. Sorry for the glare.

I was wondering where that Emmett cup came from. I had seen one at work a couple days ago but this explains where it came from.

If only they weren't included in Happy Meals, now I have to buy one...

You can generally buy the toy separate from the meals.

Though I find a Happy Meal is just about the right size for a quick lunch... Maybe I'll be heading down to the local McD's for lunch...

Wow, now this is very interesting, great find Bruce! I might have to go to McDonalds now and get a happy-meal just for the cup... :D

It sounds like there's gonna be a sudden surge of teenagers and adults buying Happy Meals!

I actually just noticed these yesterday while at McDonalds. I really want to pick up a few.

Took the kids last night (my daughter thought we were going to see the movie) and got three cups (one for each kid and one for me). While they're certainly not high class drinkware, they're not terribly low quality. They got the little hologram/moving picture (I can't think what it's called today) on them, but I'd have preferred them to be just regular prints.

Bad Cop and Unikitty were available this week.

I'll probably go back to get the complete set...

Disappointing that they are giving away cheap cups instead of Lego parts people could build with.

Is it a Lenticular Hologram? the kind with the ridges (opposed to a foil one)?

I was able to get a Emmet cup and a Wildstyle cup from my cousin, who had a couple extras when she took her kids to Mcdonalds. I never would have gone to Mcdonalds (Don't like their food, obviously) to get these, so that was cool.

I am somewhat of a McDonald's fan (I know, right?). So to go there and get some LEGO swag with my meal was definitely worth it. I got the good cop bad cop cup. It will be used to house some of my LEGO pieces. Not my cup of choice, but I am glad to get one nonetheless.

So how are these cup distributions working? Do they vary by store?

For example my first McD gave me the Good Cop/Bad Cop. About three days later I went back and got a Virtuvius(sp?) cup. My mother came down to babysit our son today, and she stopped at a different McDonalds about 10 minutes away, and they gave her a Batman (which is now also in my possession).

Is there any rhyme or reason to the distribution of these cups?
