Grand Budapest Hotel

Post by Bruce N H »

Hey all,

The team of builders from Legoland California built the Grand Budapest Hotel. Here's a video. It's going to be on display at the Grove, a mall in Los Angeles, no indication as of yet as to how long it will be there, or after that whether it will end up in Legoland, travel to shows, or be on peranant display someplace else.

Hey,

A little additional information from Joel Baker: This wasn't actually an official Legoland project; several of the guys who work for Legoland did this as a private commission on the side. That's dedication to the brick, btw - get home from your long day at work building LEGO, and then moonlight on the side building LEGO, and then as hobby build some of your own personal LEGO MOCs to unwind. This hotel was on display at the mall for the DVD release promotion, and is now going to the Architectural and Design Museum Los Angeles for an exhibit that will last all summer and then travel to some other museums.
