Vignettes by Makoto

Post by Bruce N H »

Hey all,

I really like these little vignettes by Makato:

He shows that with a very small MOC you can get a great little scene (these are all on either 6x6 or 8x8 squares). These all fall into Town categories, but Castle builders should take note of the roof on this porch:

I'm going to have to try that out soon.

BTW, here are a couple of other Japanese builders that made similar-style vignettes:
Sugegasa:

Yuriko Hanai:

I wonder if they've influenced eachother. Anyway, it's a neat little idea.

You know you're a good person when you see megablocks and have to do things you would rather not.

that actually may be a kind of cool castle contest... a little tiny scene on no bigger than 8*8 or so.
with bragging rights as the prize of course.

Too bad the roof is in black. It makes it harder to make out the details, but it looks like an excellent style for castle. And check out the 'pebbled' pathway - very cool.

I like this idea. It's pretty much something ANYONE could do. I mean, who couldn't build something in an 8x8 space?

I assume that the reason Freak wants bragging rights as the prize is because he's tired of having people touch his monkey as the prize? :D

Quite inspiring. I think I'll try that this weekend.
