Hello :D

Sorry, I didn't come here for a long time because I had much work... :(

Does somebody know when lego will announce the innovations for the year 2005 ???

With your opinion, will us have the sets Harry Potter 4 (with perhaps dragons), Star wars 3 and maybe a sequel of Knights Kingdoms II ???

I just hope my idea for a Banteras tree fort set is made in a new line of KK2 sets...it could be just like the Forestmen sets...with unofficial Jelly Belly mascots...

Well most likely we will see Star Wars sets for the new movie and maybe some for the classics...and with Harry Potter sets...who knows...I don't really pay attention to them...

Hey guys,

Sorry, but I had to snip out the list of SW sets. On Rebel Scum, they say that this list came from "browsing the Target mainframe". Our policy on leaked information says:
Troy wrote: Information that is obtained illegally is NOT open for discussion.
Example:
A retail employee looking through the stores computer system for upcoming set names. This is proprietary information that the employee has no business looking for, so it is NOT open for discussion.
This seems to be the case with the Rebel Scum information. If it turns out that the Rebel Scum list comes from a publicly accessible site, I would be happy to re-post the list of upcoming sets.

I can't wait to see what Lego will put out for next year, personally.
(well my wallet can!!)

I am glad that other sites have decided to post this information, however
I agree with the policies of the site not to post unverified information here
on Classic-castle.

In February (at the Toy Fairs), we'll get to see most of what Lego is putting
out this year.

Even then we won't be able to completely guess what Lego has in store...
cough cough Maersk Container Ship, Sante Fe Train Engine, and City

My guess about 2005 products is that there will be a sequel of KK2. I think that there will be some new sets in spring, but not as much as 2004.

For Star wars I think we will have many new sets and they will be available by the time of the releasing of the film (may 2005).

For Harry Potter, I don't expect new sets until autumn 2005. Did they start filming the new film? Did they talked about release date ? I don't know. That's why we can't expect new HP set new spring.

Well, since Star Wars has produced a TON of really useful Castle stuff, and since I like the movies to begin with, I hope we will see more of it next year.

However....

I thought that TLC was getting out of the licensed themes business. Do they still have a contract on Star Wars into 2005, or has this expired yet?

The Star Wars deal runs out in 2007 and I don't think there's a chance to renew it (which IMHO is good). I think TLC writes up a new contract with Warner Bros. each time there is a new HP movie, and I have a gut feeling there will be HP4 sets. As to the other licenses, such as Spiderman, Dora the Explorer, Shell, etc, I hope they start cutting back on them. I think what TLC meant by their statement of 'no more licenses' is that they will not take up a whole ton of new deals up, but they won't just cut off the deals they had already set in place, if that makes sence.

The Starwars movie is out this spring (2005) with an anticipated list of
sets. Posted (unofficially) elsewhere.

The new Harry Potter Movie (HP4) or HP:Goblet of Fire is anticipating a
fall 2005 release that is probably midway through filming.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see multiple sets for Knights Kingdom
throughout the year. I think (unofficially) we will see mini-fig sets
of each knight and King Mattias individually with an accessory.
(though that is just speculation, no pics released to the masses).

Hope this isn't against CC policy as leaked information. Eurobricks has a list of sets for 2005. There are some sets that sound very good, if they are system scale, but they are likely to be Belville.
