Hi all,

Shaun Sullivan has posted this amazing victorian manor to Brickshelf.

Image

According to a note in his gallery (still looking for a Lugnet post or game write-up), this was first used for a horror (Lovecraft) themed Brikwars game this past weekend, though obviously he's been working on this for quite a while (he hinted about in in August).

While this is not a castle-themed creation, there are amazing architectural details throughout, and the general area of horror, IMO, is castle-friendly.

Be sure to check out: the amazing 2-thick curved wall, with curved bookcases to match, fireplace and chairs, canopied bed, perching parrots, fireplace variant, monstrous skeletons, extremely rare, never sold, element (how'd he get this?), rolling ladder, spooky tree (by Dave Eaton) and fence, and an amazing number of details throughout (plus the general studless nature of the floors and the modular room construction themselves amazing).

It looks like Shaun is still planning on uploading a ton of detail pictures, with all of those empty folders for different rooms.

Pictures from the game in progress are in another folder.

That is just simply amazing. I don't want to even think how much time he must have spent planning all that out. The interior has so many details it would take you days to see them all. Absolutey beautiful.

Hello!

I rarely make use of the word "amazing", but this building seriously is. So much detail, so stunning building skills!

This is... really really nice :) I love the interior architectural details. The kitchen/dining room is my favorite. I love that fireplace. The exterior details are a bit plain (who am I to complain) but match the architectural style of the house. The porch and turret are also wonderful.

I love how this uses plain, ordinary colours in such a predominant way. No earth-tones, not much white or grey. Such a lovely effect.

Lot's of detail too. I would love to live in this house. :D

WOW.

Apart from its size, the exterior is not that amazing. (But the landscaping, fencing, and spooky tree are awesome) But the interior details - now THAT is stunning. I've only looked at a few of the pics, and I really like the way Shaun kept certain details constant - i.e. the curtains.

WOW.

Jojo, the bar has gotten to be so high that we could drive a semi under it, and not come close to scraping it.

That's an element that was never produced. It showed up at a LUG meeting a year ago, presented by a LEGO employee who said it was a prototype. Here:

Note in that same pic there is a clear fig, a trans-blue scimitar, and a clear chain. There was much speculation, but no official information, about what this might be for. I'm hoping it will show up in a future set, but am not holding my breath.

There is also clear shoulder pad armor like the aliens and Ogel. Pretty cool, but I'm not holding my breath either.

Looking at that picture, I would say that the figure on the horse is a skelaten, rather than a true minifig.

How do you spell skelaton, anyway  ?
