Hi All,

Henry arrived safely in Calgary today. :D He is currently resting, but he will be wandering the lands of chaos and disorganisation later today. He will visit a few shops and perhaps help with the reconstruction of the Red Stone Inn. He will see the ruins of Lions Rock and a few other notable structures in Linnaeus. He will even have a chance to meet some of the notable creatures inhabiting the Big Box of Minifigs. I hope the dwarves and centaurs don't frighten him too much. :D He will spend a day or two here and then spend a few days with Old_Republic before he gets a tour of Calgary. I'll have some pictures of his visit later today and then as his visit progresses.

Perfect timing :D

Henry will be flying out of Calgary on Monday. He has a postcard from the zoo and I will post links to his visit with my characters and Old_Republics then. Unfortunatly there was a problem with my camera and my sightseeing trip with Henry has no photographic evidence. He did get to see the Calgary Tower, the Saddledome and the Calgary Zoo. I am re-taking some pics with my MOCs tomorrow. He has had a long visit here and he's very tired of my desk. The comely wench from the Redstone Inn grew bored with him so he's been on the outs for a bit. :D. His next stop will be Illinois with Ben E.

How will we know where to send him to the next person? :?: E-mail? :?: And where is he now?:?: Ben E.'s supposed to have him. It's been almost a month since Wlister sent him.

From what I've heard (read) in the chat room is that
in all actuality Henry is still at Will's (or at his friend Trevors)
and not having made it to Ben E.'s house. :(

We might have to debate this, but I think there should be
definite rules laid out for future "trips" with Henry.

1. Length of stay should be no MORE than 10 or so days
(may be lengthened if there is a good reason). This
will/should not include "travel time".

2. By putting your name on the list, you are responsible for
ensuring Henry gets to your address (covering insufficient
mail) and then Henry getting safely to the next address
on the list.

3. While Henry is visiting, you should, in good courtesy
(and if financially possible) mail a post card of your local town, city etc. to Patrick (aka the LegoFreak) to commorate
Henry's visit.

4. Also, if you have access to a digital camera, take as
many pictures of Henry's visit so there is a definite
record of Henry's visit.

5. If you can't have access to a camera, at least a general
account of his visit should be posted so we (as in the Classic Castle Community) know how Henry's visit went.

6. Nobody, with exception of Patrick (Legofreak) can get
an additional visit by Henry unless everybody has a reasonable chance to have him visit the first time.

The are just my suggestions, but I don't think they are
out of line.

Thanks, Ben M.

Henry has been sent. My problems with my hardrive delayed him a week, but he was sent over a week ago now. I am surprised he hasn't arrived. I am sure Ben will let us know when it does. Problems with my digital camera and then Sasser killing my hard drive were part of the reason for the delay at my place. The rest was that I truly wasn't ready for him when he arrived. Most of my stuff was still in boxes from my move. My fault and I take full responsibility. Drop my name from the list until everyone who wants him has a chance and then maybe he will find his way back to my much more organized world once he has traveled a little more. He did travel to many strange and wonderful places here in Calgary and if I manage to bleed my picture files off the old hard drive I will post them. Again sorry for the delay.

No Problem Will.

Everything is cool. I just wanted to suggest some stuff
so everyone is on the same page. Of course the other
admins in CC shouldn't feel obligated to share my
concerns...

I'm sure that Henry is looking forward in some time
with Ben Ellerman.

;)

Peace out,
Ben Medinets

just one question: do you take photos of Henry with your brick castle, or with a real one?

The idea is really both. Check early posts in this thread to check some of the great pictures many have already made 8)
