Oh man...:(
I felt pretty down after reading that; all I can say is: Good Luck Jake. The Brick will be with you, always.

Well that's too bad. :( Who are we going to gripe to when things don't go exactly how we want them?

This is a really good question... one of the great things about having Jake around is that he was proactive in listening to the thoughts/words of AFOLS out there buying sets each year.

I wish him luck, he will be missed.
Knight Templar
n. pl. Knights Templars or Knights Templar
1.A member of an order of knights founded about 1118 to protect pilgrims in the Holy Land during the Second Crusade.

Has Jake said who is taking his job? Usually people say who their predecessors will be. Hopefully it will be someone who is sensitive to our interests, and not someone who will just shrug us off.

Steve Witt will continue at his job representing the North American fan community. Jan Beyer will continue working for the European fans. A new person in Billund will take the head job of the LEGO Community Team. We are in good hands with Steve. Many of the admins have met him and talk to him online as well.

To Jake: We will miss you at LEGO. You have done so much for fans of LEGO. Thank you for your support of Classic Castle with the interviews, chats, preview pictures, contest prizes, and listening to the numerous questions the admins passed along to you. This support means a lot to admins and all our members. Thanks again and good luck with your new job.

Good luck to Jake in his new job.

Let's not look at this as losing Jake, because it sounds like he may become an active AFOL now. :) Not being an employee of the company should allow him to participate in our community (let's hope he's a castle fan!)

Admins - get him an account, a cool rank, and let's welcome him in a new role as fellow AFOL. For those of us in TX, let's welcome him to TexLUG also!

Jake -

Let's see some MOCs, enter some contests, open a Bricklink store . Ok, so maybe that's to much to soon. We welcome you!

Well, this is the salute I give to Jake.

WE SALUTE JAKE AND THANK HIM FOR HIS LEGO SERVICE!
Beware the day my soul is unleashed. Not even Megablocks itself will rival its fire!

It's been fun, but what's good never lasts.
We will miss you Jake.

May the Brick be with you

You know you're a good person when you see megablocks and have to do things you would rather not.
