Lego Shields
Hi, this question is mainly directed to Ben or Anthony, but how did you make those Shields beside your logo and on the sidebar? They looked rendered, but nothing like Ldraw Shields. Any answers will be appreciated.

Hi Terrance,
Anthony and I both use photoshop to make shields. My shield is inspired by one of my family shields. Once the image is finished, you can save it as a .giff. Then you can make the background color - white - invisible. This will get rid of the white rectangle around your shield.

Ben is right, we both use Photoshop. I just wanted to add that the shields that I've made were done as trace-overs off real pictures of the shield designs. Just me and photoshop. Unfortunately I'm not really good at custom shields.

you should have fun adjusting your designs to fit.
These shields look good (cartoonish graphics aside) and would be a nice addition to anyone's armed forces.
I hope you'll consider providing better graphics for these once they become available.

Those sheilds look decent. Why there is a stud in the middle is beyond me. I like the sheild of the Blue Knight the most. What were they thinking with that monkey!Well, based on this photo:

P.S. See ya in a while footsteps.
I think the stud is pretty well-done. You can use tiles, round 1x1 plates or small radar dishs on it. Everything to hide those weird animals ...
When in doubt empty the magazine.

I guess we now know that the minifig KK shields are indeed ABS and one piece. A stud on the front though? That's good in a way....it kind of make the part more useful as something other than just a shield. What, I don't know yet.

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

We've seen shields with studs on the front before, in 1984:

And also in the recent Adventurers sets:
