Using stormtrooper armor for knights.

Post by forester3291 »

I must admit for about 2-3 years I slacked off and was realy into SW legos and not castle. sw seemed so much cooler than kk. I was wondering if I should use Stormtrooper armor for Knights? Just want some opinions :D .

No, and please don't say legos, it is LEGO and is plural by itself.

Actually, if you want to get technical, Lego is an adjective. And according to The Lego Company itself, it should always be used that way, hence "a pile of Lego" is improper, since 'Lego' in that sentence functions as a noun. But that is extreme. Use it how you want, but most Lego fans just recommend never using an 's' on the end of it.
Sorry but I disagree with you Terrence  .

Inasmuch as none of my stormtroopers came with armor, you have left me a bit puzzled.

I am sorry but I don't like use torsos of stormtroopers (and scoutroopers) for make knights...
The result is not very beautiful.

But use an armour of Ogel on a torso of the stormtrooper, you obtain something which is impressive !!!

But LEGO is a name, so it is a proper noun in a sense. LEGO pieces, or a pile of LEGO both work. And yes, on the LEGO website it does say 'legos' is not the correct form.

Nah, I don't like the idea. I've tried it myself and it doesn't look good.

I must agree with the others, stormtrooper armour (And other variations) aren't very good for knights. I tried this once as I have a very small amount of castle figs, and as Dada said, "The result is not very beautiful."

However, they do look awesome like this...

As with others, I'm not a big fan of Stormtrooper armor as medieval armor. Jango Fett's armor looks pretty good, especially if you swap out the arms for dark gray. Also the breastplate Bib Fortuna. C-3PO's torso works well as a Greek breastplate. I've also seen the Geonosian torso used as a breastplate.

In addition, lots of other SW figs work great in Castle settings.
From the OT:

Emperor, Imperial Guard, both Leias, all the Lukes except the pilot uniform, old Ben, skiff Han, Gamorrean guard (for fantasy settings as an orc).
From ep 1:

Darth Maul, Jar-jar, all the humans
From ep 2:

All the Jedis, baby Boba

*Edited because I remembered the name of Bib Fortuna.

I don't think it'll look good, but I've never seen it. A lot of the other SW torsos work, as many have pointed out.

Well, I was going to be polite and not say a thing, but since you summed them up so succinctly...
