NEED HELP!!

Post by Green Fox »

I have recently recieved a large number of bardings, all with one or two clips broken on one side. Is there anything I can do to fix them, or could I file them down?

If there is, let me know. I've never been able to fix clips of any kind. Not on bardings, saddles, clip pieces, or minifig hands.

Okay, this may strike some as sacreligious, but one possible solution is to 1) remove the last vestiges of the old clips, then 2) glue a 1x1 mod. tile with top clip on the spot where the original clip was. Use a colour to match the barding and airplane (plastic) glue. It may look odd, but it might work.

Just my two cents.

I think that you could sand it down and then glue a 1*1 clip. Seems to be the easiest way to deal with it.
Sounds good to me anyway. :D

I'll take your words for it, as I said elsewhere, I cannot send photos.

If you still have the original piece that broke off (or have other broken pieces, for that matter) you could try something like Gorilla glue. I have not used it on any Lego pieces yet, but my dad used it to glue the window roller handle back onto my driver's side door (long story; basically Geo Metros have a little problem where if you slam the door with the window down it knocks the window off its track...) and it works very well there. However, the 1x1 clip idea is also very good and might actually be better in the long run. You could still use Gorilla glue on it, too! :)
