I have the same problem, my wife hates the spray smell! But live in a big house, so I put up plastic dropcloths in the furthest room from her, light a bunch of odor killing candles, close as many doors as possible, and whenever possible wait until she is asleep or out for a couple of hours.
If you are willing to spend some money there are shop size spray booths for sale. If you want to keep doing it in the garage, it will still work fine. I know you are in Vermont, but as long as you do not store the cans out there, it should be ok. I did that last winter in upstate NY just fine. Lastly, if you are in southern Vermont, bring them to me, and I'll do them for ya!
I think I have a good system for sealing the decals. If that is what you need I will write it down for you.
Good luck!

Roag,
If you have access to plastic sheeting like that which is used in houses, get some 2x4's, make a frame and cover it in the plastic. I did a similar thing in my garage last year with polyeurathane and wooden snowshoes and by putting a 60 watt light in there first it raised the temperature enough that I was able to use the poly. This was in February in upstate NY. It should work for you as well. Best of luck.
