What material are capes made from? And where can I find some (of the material)?

While nobody is really sure of the exact material LEGO uses to make their capes, there are some fabrics that are pretty darn close.
You might want to check out a craft or fabric store (When I think fabric, Jo-Ann Fabrics comes to mind), and try and look, or ask for a pretty thin material with a high thread count.
If you do happen to find a fabric you like, look around for some fabric stiffener. The kind I use is just sprayed onto the fabric, and when dried it gives the fabric a more LEGO-like feel while protecting it from fraying.
