The Return of Atlantis

Postby SavaTheAggie » Thu Jun 24, 2004 5:00 pm

I've been toying around with several new factions, and I'm ready to introduce you to one of them.

Because there might be senstive viewers, I will not directly embed the sticker, but rather link to it off-site. I strongly urge that if you are easily offended or are not mature enough to handle it, do not click on this link.

However, I feel that while it is a bit risque', it's nothing LEGO hasn't already done by creating Star Wars' Jabba Slave Princess Leia and her Metal Bikini (That's what Peeron calls it, honest!). I am simply volunteering to censor this post.

So as to keep with the spirit that all fantasy-style feminine characters be built like a Barbie Doll, I present to you:

An Atlantian Female

To my critics of how unrealistic she is (poor girl has bought into the false societal norm for what a woman's body should look like), let me say this: She is only a fraction thinner than the Sylvan Elf Female (and Kevin Hall's fancy dresses, trust me, I measured), and I did not, in any way, increase the size of her... umm... assets. LEGO dictated how... umm... talented... she is... I didn't change a thing. However, that is not to say that I won't in the future make her thicker in the waist, time will just have to tell.

The Atlantian faction will be similar to my Sylvan Elves, as there will be at least one sticker per template I have created. However I have no time frame to when I will finish all the designs.

Ya, when I was creating my mermaid torso, I found out that the people at LEGO have some odd ideas about female anatomy too....

Anyway, this atlantian female will make many a peasant's pantaloons feel slightly tighter.

PS, this sooo needs to go on the main page!.

This is a pretty nifty sticker, I am not sure I'd introduce this fig to my Sig Fig's mother, but it is definitly an interesting direction to take. Lego may have decided on the proportion of the - ahem - assets, but you could shrink some of the shading around the armpits. No self respecting, shell bra wearing woman would pick shells too small to cover herself. Of course with her belt hanging soooooo low, it may just be that she is the sort of woman to walk around with her talents hanging out.

Seriously though, very nicely done. I Can't wait to see the rest of the faction.

After a long absence, I have returned. I can't wait to start building again.

OH MY GOD!!! MY EYES!!! MY VIRGIN EYES!!!
*ahem* This is very nicely done, though I think I'll have to agree with my fellow castlers' sentiments that the belt is just a little bit low. Don't get me wrong... I love to see a bit of skin now and then (though little plastic women don't do much for me in that department), but did they have bikini waxes in the Medieval era?
As for the breast area (that's right, I said 'breast'... last time I checked, that wasn't a curse), I think that you did an great job. Some people might say that she's just a little too well-endowed for such small sea-shells, but I think the smaller shells are a must. Just imagine how heavy and uncomfortable those shells must be... do we really want to make them larger and place more of a burden on our Atlantean beauty? I think not.
Perhaps the waistline is a bit too thin, but I've never really liked having the waistline printed on a torso anyway, so my opinion on the subject is biased.
Overall, great work.

Cool, you have Atlanteans too? BTW, nice sticker. A bit too annorexic looking for a minifig imo though. I'll just use the Princess Leia minifig parts.

C-C.com goes PG-13!!

Great sticker...but a tiny tad too thin...and revealing around the waist line...the torso rocks though...

She's not at risk of exposing herself, study your anatomy, people! :)

Those two lines that curve around her stomach area define the female stomach muscle group, and where they'd meet if they continued in this design isn't where any unmentionable places are.

It's the female version of the 'Six-Pack', if you will, though women aren't built to define their stomach muscles in six little buldges like men.

Think about it. The actual 'belt' area of a minifig isn't on the torso, but on the legs, which means there's quite a bit more torso below the belt, if you will excuse the pun. And while she doesn't have a pair of legs, it still corrisponds to the right parts.

Sure, there's a lot of skin, but trust me, that shell and dress is covering more than enough.

I figured that you were trying to indicate the lower abdominal muscles, but if I may politely beg to differ, you are in the bikini wax region with the top of that shell!

Not that I am complaining. 8)
