Ok... so I've been working on a few things lately, and I'd like to present a few teaser shots. I'm looking for some feedback obviously, so questions/comments are welcome. Keep in mind though, answers will be limited at this point. Thanks for looking!

I think you'll have the most interest from those here that like very customized figures. I personally would rather just use LEGO figures for consistancy. The arms and leg remind me of the LEGO Technic figures. The gun looks sweet.

Another question would be how much would these cost? LEGO figures are usually not cheap (final consumer cost anyway).

Perhaps LEGO thought about changing their figures over the years but never did (except for the original change 30+ years ago). Interesting idea, however. :raiseone:

Well... that is why I posted this in the "customs" section. Also, this isn't anything meant to replace existing products, so by all means buy Lego figs. And I'm glad you like the gun - I've been selling that since 2003.

Any final info, including cost, are not available at this time.

Thanks for your comments, and I think it's an interesting idea too.

Hey Blasterman,

Didn't you play around with some custom articulated arms a couple of years ago? Is this a variation on the same design, or totally new? They look really cool, btw.

Hey Bruce,

Yes, yes I did.

What you're seeing now is something totally new, and muuuch better imo. Thanks!

Ah, yes, I remember now. These are much better. The older arms looked a little like sausages.

HA! I like to call them "brats" specifically, but yeah... sausage.

I really like your custom arms (I remember seeing an older version of these a few years back when I was on a lurking kick on this message board). I just think that they'd look a little out of place with all of my stiff-armed minifigs.

I remember many people drooling over your old arms in the past. I, for one, would love a few pairs.

Interesting idea. Reminiscent of this company's products.

The only similarity between the 2 would be the ball-jointed hands and feet, nothing more. That form of articulation is nothing new however, since there are many other toy lines utilizing similar features. I simply looked at what worked best, and what made more sense, when it came to designing something that would "move" more like a real person.

These look very interesting.

My main question/concern would be the ability to hold a pose. I have standard LEGO arms that will not hold up so I wonder what sort of life-span these joints would have? Not a negative necessarily as a short life-span (ie: number of movements) would simply render them more for static display.

Nothing lasts forever, unfortunately. How long would something like this hold up?... impossible to say really. Given part tolerances and materials, I'd have to ball-park it with - "quite some time". Any toy, or action figure type toy, will last a good bit as long as you don't abuse it. And let's face it, something like this isn't (or won't be) made for young kids to throw around. As an adult collector who likes to pose figs for dios or shelf, I see no problems with joints wearing out anytime soon. I personally have various figs dating back 15-20 yrs, and they still look 99% brand new (but that's me of course). Either way, I don't foresee any major problems outside of what any toy would have.

The hip, or top of leg, works on a ball-jointed system. New hip?... could be :o .
