Looking at the picture, there appears to be nothing wrong with it. I haven't heard of any issues from others that own it and mine work just fine. BrickForge products are made with compatibility in mind to both our own and Lego's products as much as possible.

I have not found any issue with my Brickforge helms/armor.
I would not worry about this one person's issue.
