Reviving Painted armor

Post by lil Jon »

Ok, so I've been trying to revive some dk gray Euro armor I painted thinking it was a good idea.

Paint thinner didn't work out too well, so I used a really fine piece of sand paper. The results are here...

It looks a little scratchy due to the sanding. but I really can't tell that much.

Now I'm wondering if there is anyway to get the shine back. Any suggestions?

Jeweler's rouge? I don't have any or I might have tried it by now, but going with any extremely fine polishing compound such as rouge would be the logical step to try.

I really don't know about the shine, but if I were you, I'd just be glad that the armour is pretty much its original colour. That's more than you have a right to ask for, say I. Still, i suppose that there's no harm in trying for perfection.

Maybe some sort of clear gloss coat?

Yellow? You painted it yellow? An exacto knife might work. I have used it to remove glasses from Harry Potter...

Yup, it was painted like Boba Fett. He has yellow shoulder pads. Looked pretty rad IMO (at the time)

I'd never try to get paint off
That armor is ruined unless you paint it back in its original color
*And the bulls arrive in kk2*
Cedric the bull: "Hahaha Leo we're here to- wtf?"
*and the bulls see some happy knights bouncing at each other with carts*
Cedric (shocked): "I guess we got the wrong KK''
Bull soldier (frightened): "Lets go back"
