Is this sharp or what?
Well here is the first custom I have ever built.
The hilt is just a normal sword. I didn't cut one though. I just had a broken one that had the blade missing.
Here is comparsion to a normal sword.

Here are a couple pictures of it with a guy.

I would recommend painting or putting a finish on the hilt as it would cover up the rough bits of glue. Apart from that, good work! The chrome looks very nice and it looks great in the hands of a figure. One question.. is the blade a modified lego piece or is it made out of sculpey?

he he I didn't use sculpey or a modified lego piece. I bet no one will be able to figure out what I used. If no one can figure it out I will tell. Until then, happy guessing (oh and big brothers aren't aloud t guess).jon_p wrote:I would recommend painting or putting a finish on the hilt as it would cover up the rough bits of glue. Cool
That's a very neat little sword. The only thing is that I'd rather see it in 1 overall color, instead of both silver and grey. Not that this isn't realistic, but since all Lego pieces are 1 color, I think it would make it look more Lego-like (which is always good for customs). But perhaps this is just a personal preference.

Thanks.
Ya, well I am a little scared (ok very scared) to paint a lego piece. Even if it is broken.

Cleaning the glue off the hilt would be a definite improvement. I'm not overly fond of the shape (the dimensions of the classic sword are perfect, in my opinion), but despite that, it's an excellent solution to a broken sword.

Ahhh... The comb, not just for hair anymore.
Some fine sandpaper might clean up the glue a bit, maybe some fine touches w/an exacto blade would help.

For what its worth, I am as much (if not more) the creator of this sword. I mean, it was my comb, I'm sure I helped with the idea, and well, as much as I hate to admit it, I DID break the sword. Years ago.....

I cant tell exactly how its messy a little.... meaning like if its extra glue or just a little scratched.
Looks like you could use some very fine sand paper and it will make its very smooth(may have to repaint the siliver afterwards), and you could maybe pick off some of the excess glue with an x acto, be careful not to break it though
