That's it, get the thread locked.
Boris: no comment beyond that you were too kind. Two of the games I worked on had to suffer through his covers, so I have a personal stake in this (interesting to note that he was stiffed on payment by one of the companies that commisioned him - Acclaim, but that is also the one that the original design was so bad that I couldn't salvage it to my satisfaction and my name appears no where attached, at my own choice).Vallejo is totally a ripoff artist from Frazetta. I agree completely with Blarg. He might make good posters but to me his artwork lacks the feel of the original. Now of course I may be a bit biased, having grown up with various collections of his work around the house, not to mention all the books that had Frazetta's art work on the cover (almost all of my Tarzan books have his artwork) and being a rabid fan of the movie Fire and Ice (a must see. )
But Vallejo's stuff is just too shiney and pretty.
Fire and Ice a must see?!? No comment.
Yeah, the curved haft was part of the signature of the DD's axe. I suppose I'd have to make that from scratch, too. I have a big brick of white Sculpey floating about the house - assuming my son hasn't gotten into it - that I might experiment with this weekend.Um - back on topic though - I would like to see a sculpey version of the horns. and maybe a bent fantasy "elephant killer" axe.
Shriek!Come to think of it - Fire and Ice would be awesome done in lego...
