Custom Designed (Castle) Capes and other Cloth Elements

Post by royalbrickcustoms »

Hey everyone,

Recently I have been working with Dave Ingraham (CapeMadness) to design some cool custom capes, both for general lego castle use, as well as for the LCC project here at classic-castle.com.

Some capes I have designed:

I can design almost anything, and I have access to a large assortment of patterns and designs.

I can create anything from a simple flag that can fit on a lego spear, to a complex fabric horse barding that fits on the new lego horse with poseable rear legs (mould).

If you would like me to create you a custom designed cape or other cloth element, either using an "official Lego faction" sigil, or an emblem that you drew yourself just let me know.

You can contact me by:

1. Sending me a PM here on classic-castle.com

2. Sending me a FM (Flickr Message) on Flickr (RBCustoms)

3. Sending me an email at: royalbrickcustoms@aol.com

Thanks and have a great day!

How much does it cost to have one of these designed/made?

Well I have been giving Dave my designs and he has made the for me (so far) free of charge. :)

Although, I'm going to start creating my own designs and selling them in my Bricklink Store (which is currently empty). There is no charge or set-up fee for having me create the design(s), just the price of the product itself (which varies, depending on what you order).

I'd be happy to make your first designs (limit 4 capes per design) for free, but if you want more then 4 of a particular design it will be about $1.75 per cape plus $1.00 for shipping.

RBC you are suchs a businessman :P
Great idea, altough those are awesome I personally like my capes free of logo. But some details would be cool like on the Areani and the red Lion cape.

They are fantastic RBC, very clean looking. Is it possible to get printing on both sides? If so, I'd like to see what you could do for a few banners.

I probably could on dark base colors. one of the problems with double-sided capes and banners, is that they bleed through from one side to the other. What I could try (for the banners) is printing one design on one side and then a second design on another banner and then glue the two together.

If you ever want me to make you any designs, just let me know.

You should probably provide a link to your BL store.

Ok the reason I didn't before is because it's currently closed.

I can't help feeling that maybe you should rephrase that to be clear about which parts are your design. :)

Hey,

Please note how I merged these threads, as per the rule noted at the top of the forum. I'm going to go back and do the same with our other customs dealers (e.g. BrickWarriors, BrickArms, etc) as I get the time to do so.

If I designed a heraldic symbol, would you be willing to make customs for them? say on shields, capes, flags and perhaps even on the minifig bodies?

Also, is your website up and running yet? I am exclusively into castle building and would love to find a customs maker for some ideas i have for realistic heraldry, types of siege weapon parts... etc. I do not have the technological know-how, but have lots of idea's. :)
