Deep in the swamps of outlaw territory, a band of one-eyed trolls have set up an outpost from which to guard their treasure. Their leader, Grogg, has just returned with two guards from a scouting expedition, and is being welcomed home by his wife, Feygogg, and son, Groggle.

As seen here, male one-eyed trolls are much more muscular than their female counterparts, and in adulthood they develop enlarged heads and their signature horn, which can be used in close-quarters combat as a formidable weapon.
Troll sentries man the walls, and can be seen armed with crossbows, which are favored over longbows due to their ease of aiming. This helps to make up for the troll's poor depth perception which comes as a result of only having one eye.

My entry for the CCC XI "Custom Faction"category. Custom elements include olive-colored capes, torso, shield and flag decals, and some marker work on Grogg's fangs.

Ah tres bon le brickster! I see you've still got your flickr set to french. Great faction. I love the idea of taking a standalone figure and making it into it's own faction, and as mentioned before, the re-use of the one-eyed skull motif is fantastic. I think the temptation for me would have been to make them look a little less civilized, but I guess that's up to whatever your interpretation of a troll is! I now have a great urge to collect a few more cyclopses!

See??? That's the EXACT reason I knew I had to do this project. SOMEONE has to stand up against the stigma that trolls are constantly up against. Just because a few of the better-known ones may be a bit uncouth and perhaps a tad smelly, doesn't mean that ALL trolls are like that! They can have homes with paved stone paths and adoring wives and children. Nice clothes and armor are also not above them. All hail the civilized troll!

I had to log just to congratulate you AK_Brickster. I love these Ciclops and I bought about 10 of them to make MOCs, them I saw your work here and I´m amazed.

I made some female Ciclops using the Gipsy hair from the CMF minifig, but yours using the LOTR orc is so much better. And I have some 2 headed ciclops using the BrickWarriors torso piece that I use as the leaders of their army.

Could you share the ciclop icon design?
