Winterfell Guard
Winterfell Guard
Guard of Winterfell by GrayOverload, on Flickr
A guard of the city of Winterfell, the capital of the Northern portion of Westeros. One of the Seven Kingdoms united by Aegon I under the Iron Throne, the North is primarily ruled from Winterfell by House Stark, who's sigil is a gray direwolf on a field of white.
For those unaware, Westeros is the continent primarily featured in George R.R. Martin's series of novels entitled A Song Of Ice And Fire (the basis for the HBO series Game of Thrones). The shield was made by modifying one of the many designs featured on the CC tutorials, printing it out on copy paper, taping over it with packaging tape, cutting it out and gluing it to the shield. Inspiration for the creation of the shield (and method) is attributed to mpoh98 and his Oakleaf Knights.
C&C welcome. I had a lot of fun with this creation, and I plan to make some more guards from the tens of houses featured in the novels. On the radar currently: House Blackfyre & House Mormont!

Re: Winterfell Guard
The white arms and gray helmet look really good with that heraldry. I think I would like a silver helmet even better, but that could just be because I'm insanely partial to the silver helms
Looking forward to seeing more of these. I've really enjoyed the custom factions I've made recently and am always happy to see more designs!

Re: Winterfell Guard
I was torn between using this helmet and a silver one, actually. I may switch out for a silver helmet at some point, but I didn't have any for spare at the time of creating it!AK_Brickster wrote:The white arms and gray helmet look really good with that heraldry. Thanks for all the comments, guys!
