Good work gumshoes!

You're probably on to something. I think the only thing that would be somewhat useful clear is the visor. I don't think I own any but thats ok because I'm not into space very much.

Not too sure what use a clear astronaut visor is to Castle - though I gotta say I'm not quite sure what use clear armor is, either. :D

So, should I leave the breastplate clear as a novelty piece or Rub'N Buff it? And if the latter: silver, pewter, brass, gold, bronze, or copper?

The visor was from a Life On Mars set, which is pretty recent.
Replying to correct myself. Now that I think of it, the visor came off of Ogel, in one of the Deep Sea Adventure Alpha Team sets, so it's even newer than I thought.

That is certainly cool-looking! I think you sould leave it as a novelty item. Who knows, perhaps some day you'll be able to build a clear knight!

Positive. Not only have I never owned that set or any like it, but the only sets I've ever bought with those visors were two Life on Mars sets and one Alpha Team set. The Life On Mars sets came with blue chrome visors (I have two of them), and the Alpha Team set came with my only gold visor, which is the one that I checked.

this is very cool,

If anyone ever wanted to build a cool lear novelty knight I just discovered last night that this also applies to crowns, though it is extremely hard to get the chrome off the inside of the crown, any suggestions?

Hmm, maybe soak it in Brasso? I don't know for myself, but in the clear sword topic, that seems to work.

Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".

I am pretty sure the plastic of the speckled items is black, I think this trick only works out for chrome items Mike, so I guess we need to come up with another way to make a clear knight :)
