The Legend of Zelda - My first MOC

Post by MindGame »

I made this custom sometime last year, and I still have him today. I made it out of my fanhood to the "Legend of Zelda" series.

So...here it is:

This is my first MOC, so it's not perfect.

Comments & critisizm welcome.

I like your choice in the head, and the torso looks really cool. It could just be the angle of the picture, but the hat looks a little flat.

This is pretty cool. I like the hair. You managed to make it look yellow, but not minifig-skin color.

Off Topic: This does belong in the customs forum though.

Learning French.

Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".

It looks like Link! Very impressive, especially for a first one. Can't wait to see what you make as you get better.

PS. This is a custom, so I moved it there. ;)

I love the LOZ games! And to think I've been using a grey wizard hat for Link's hood...

Haha, I must say that is awesome. I saw this Custom when you first posted it but didnt really feel the need to comment. Then on friday I found my Gameboy SP and "Zelda, Link To The Past" was sitting in it. I started playing and thought of your custom and realized how well it was done, and felt the need to let you know it looks great.

Its a custom, you can see the top edge of the sticker.

This is really well done! The hair looks great... I wonder how you managed to make it look so good? Did you a specific tool to "notch" or "carve" the lines in?

Very well done, nice way to start your time here at CC!

Thanks, everyone!

I think that's a result of my constant messing with the clay trying to perfect it.

The torso was a custom, done in MS Paint. The hair/hat is pure Sculpey...and several days of carving, molding, mixing, and ripped out hair.

I used one of the plastic tools that comes with the Sculpey boxes. The one I used was a knife with an edge fine enough to make the hair.

Thank you all for your comments!
