Greetings :D I'm New!

Post by Life_Unscripted »

Hello.

I just wanted to say hi to everyone on this board. This is my first time actually signing up to a lego board and of course I had to make it the castle one :D I am 24 years old and live in Georgia, USA. I am a college student currently (Still trying to graduate :( )

Just wanting to see who was out there in my area, and to get involved with this group. I guess I will tell a little about my lego story. Legos have always been a big part of my life. I said when I was young I would never grow out of them, and hey, I still haven't lol I tend to collect more now though than I build but I am trying to change that. I remember castle always being my love, and I think my first set was 6034 Black Monarch's Ghost. I think back in 87? I was like..4 or 5.

Well I never stopped collecting and now I have a closet full lol So here I am! "Laissez les bons temps rouler!" Let the good times roll! (And French is the course that is keeping me from graduating college lol)

Mais oui! Learning French is not easy when you're surrounded by English and Spanish speakers. Welcome to the site. Keep up with College; it always is the darkest right before dawn.

Welcome! I, too, was in college when I first joined a LEGO forum, though Classic-Castle didn't exist back then (kind of figures seeing as though I helped found it, right?)

Back in my day we didn't have no fancy Classic-Castle web place on the interweb, dagnabit! And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!

Well, it's not like the internetz was completely devoid of LEGO goodies back then. Both Ed Boxer's Castle and Dr. Carney's old castle page were out there (and boy were they inspirational). You pioneering folk always act as if you had no electricity or running water... and you walked uphill both to and from school  .

And Tony, given that you helped found CC.com, wouldn't that make you one of those meddling kids as opposed to generic Scooby villian #478? Still, the interweb is eternally greatful for the advent of CC.com. We non-computer types are still in awe of this wonderous haven for LEGO castle nuts.

Later.
